Life, when you have a kid who is walking now, and a fulltime job and a house to manage, can become full. Avanee is walking all over the place now.. loves to go out and demands attention when awake. So I can sneak in work only when she is asleep. Blogging takes a back seat. :)

An incident has been lingering in my mind for sometime...

We were at a "better" restaurant the other day and there was a group of college kids( 20-21 years old) next to our table. They were obviously from affluent families. The entire conversation revolved around cell phones, models, mp3s, videos. We were there for about 15 minutes (a different post) and not even once did the topic change. They were sending each other songs, photos and discussing how cool person x was because he had a certain phone. They pretty much ignored us until the point Neeraj got his Palm treo out. After that, everyone kept on stealing glances at us..

After some really bad service, we went to Vaishali (a regular vegeterian joint) and there was another group of 5 (4 boys and 1 girl) next to us. They also were having a heated discussion. I could not help but overhear as they got louder. The girl said "more better" and the guys were discussing that it should be "just better" "Arre that superlative". Then someone brought up bad. "worst" promptly replied one. "What about in between bad and worst". The girl said "more bad" And they gave her a hard time until somebody said "I think its worse" "more worse?" asked the girl....

Two restaurants.. Two groups of friends.. Two lifestyles...
